Makati City, Philippines — Blueleaf Energy Philippines has been named Sustainability Team of the Year for CSR Excellence at the Philippines Sustainability Leadership Awards 2025.

The award, presented by SolarQuarter, highlights Blueleaf Energy’s initiatives that combine renewable energy projects with programs designed to improve livelihoods and environmental stewardship in host communities.

“We are truly grateful to receive this recognition. This reflects the hard work and commitment of our team in making a positive difference in the lives of our host communities and ensuring that our projects create long-term value,” Jason Gavina, Head of Community Relations and Marketing, said. “We also want to thank our CSR partners, whose support and collaboration make these initiatives possible.”

The accolade marks a milestone for Blueleaf Energy’s sustainability agenda, reinforcing its dedication to delivering shared value beyond power generation.

“This underscores Blueleaf Energy Philippines’ steadfast commitment to embedding sustainability into every aspect of its business, ensuring that its projects generate shared value not only for the energy sector, but also to its host communities,” Gavina added.

Blueleaf Energy is behind the development of large-scale floating solar projects in Laguna. In partnership with SunAsia Energy, the company is co-developing a 1.3-GW floating solar facility on Laguna Lake, spanning the municipalities of Cabuyao, Sta. Rosa, Calamba, Victoria, and Bay. This project is poised to be one of the largest of its kind globally.

Additionally, Blueleaf Energy, in collaboration with NKS Energy Utilities, is advancing the NKS Solar One project—a 250-megawatt floating solar installation on Lakes Caliraya and Lumot. This venture is set to be the first utility-scale floating solar project in the country, with construction slated to commence in the fourth quarter of 2024 and operations expected by the first quarter of 2026.
